What We Do!

Forage San Diego offers beautifully crafted and curated food items. Like the name, we forage through our creative love for food to come up with innovative and fun new products.

You can often find us at Puppy Picnic Company Pop-Up events in Encinitas. Forage changes their menu often, so many of our items are exclusive to the season. Current offerings include the tried and true Forage Hot Honey, Forage Hot Honey Old Fashion Cocktail Syrup, Edible Butter Candles, and more! Meet the Founder!

San Diego has always been home for Sarah Dowling, Founder of Forage San Diego.

She attended San Diego State University, and has worked at UC San Diego for the past 10 years as a research coordinator. With a very science focused career, food and food art have always been a creative outlet for Sarah, and when the pandemic hit, she went all in. Spending 80% of her time cooking, and 100% of her time thinking about her next culinary project, Sarah was inspired by how food could be art, and how art could taste so, so good. As restrictions began to lift in early 2021, she was making more food for friends and family to finally show off what she was doing during lockdown. Drawn to interesting and high quality ingredients, as well as discovering new flavor combinations, Sarah began learning more about food styling and the art of charcuterie and took the leap. Since then, her charcuterie business has evolved in to an all out new foods business, starting with her coveted Forage Hot Honey. Everything remains small batch, and uses local products as much as possible.
